Setting up Patricia Santangelo's 'Fighting the RIAA' weblog
A quick note on why I'm involved in setting up this weblog:
I've been using blogger.com for some time now. When I started taking an interest in Patricia Santangelo's legal battle against the RIAA, it occurred to me that a simple weblog would be an very useful vehicle for getting current news about the court case out to a wider audience -- and that very likely the only reason Ms. Santangelo wasn't doing this already was that she didn't know how easy it was to do.
So I emailed her with the weblog suggestion, and offered free technical assistance to go along with it... and after some initial discussions with Ms. Santangelo and her attorney, I've gone ahead and set up patriciasantangelo.blogspot.com on her behalf, and dealt with all the one-time setup details that there's no need for her to have to worry about.
From here on out, I don't expect to be providing much of the primary content. My role (if any) will likely be limited to things like copy-editing and adding external links where they're needed. And moderating comments -- so please feel free to respond to any posting with your questions, concerns, and opinions.
[Fair warning: I have no interest in censoring either anti-RIAA or pro-RIAA sentiments, but keep 'em reasonably sane and polite; ludicrously obscenity-riddled comments will be mercilessly rejected along with the rest of the weblog spam.]
